The Question

She is going to remember this for the rest of her life. You get about four seconds of it.

Secret proposal photography in St. Louis, start to finish.

Couple kissing beneath ivy covered walls moments after a proposal

Proposals are short. You spend weeks planning, and the part that actually matters lasts about as long as it takes to get down on one knee and back up again.

I hide, I get the moment, and then we take twenty minutes of portraits while you are both still shaking a little. Those are usually the best photos I take all year, because nobody is performing yet.

You get a planning call beforehand to sort out where I will be standing and how you will get her there without tipping her off. I have done this enough to know that “act natural” is not a plan.

Sneak peek within 72 hours, because you are going to want to post that night and you should not have to use somebody's iPhone shot.
