Let’s not be coy, weddings can be expensive, but what does that mean expensive? That is a relative term to each person individually and base on your values. I am bias I think photography should be one of the most “expensive” vendors on your wedding, because that is at the end of your day all you come away with. But that is not where most couples start, the wedding planning journey starts with the venue. So let’s start there with some inexpensive but valued venues in the St Louis area.

The Venue at Maison Du Lac

The Venue at Maison Du Lac is one of those venue nestled outside of St Louis. The venue offers a ton of options for your wedding day.

The groom and brides get ready locations are amazing, you can have your ceremony outside near the lake and trees or in there barn which is also amazing line with big chandeliers and lights.

Lastly The Venue Event Space This brand new, 7,000 sq. ft. facility with modern architecture, neutral and contemporary design elements. High ceilings and large windows offer plenty of natural light and beautiful views of the surrounding area. The reception building is modern and spacious for a large guest Seating for up to 300 guests count for your party and a deck to enjoy the night sky and games.

The Larimore

The Larimore located right outside St Louis is “Where Couples Enjoy Whimsically, Fairy Tale Weddings, One Magical Moment At A Time” as it says on their website.

The Larimore is a beautiful 6-acre Vintage Estate that was developed in the 1800s. It has recently been restored and was designed with the needs of today’s Wedding Events. 

This location will hold up to 250 people and is extremely affordable as far as venues go. They offer a ton of options for you to choose from. The only true way to do it justice is to contact the venue at the link below and visit it yourself.

Third Degree Glass Factory

As they state on their website Third Degree “is a one-of-a-kind event facility housed in a working glass studio.”

This 7000+ square feet of open space can accommodate up to 280 guests. And has all their prices listed right on their website how cool is that?

Again as with this amazing venue, I am booked to shoot here later this year, so look for updated images soon. From what I have seen there have been a tremendous amount of couples able to turn this enormous space into their dream location. 

NEO on Locust

Per NEO on Locust website they feature two modern, private wedding and event spaces with twenty-foot ceilings, dramatically lit by full loft-style windows, natural sunlight, and modern lighting. I have been to this location as an extra for a local photographer meaning her photo booth, and I must say this location is stunning.

NEO has multiple locations to choose from and has your ceremony, party, and reception in the rustic ambiance of the first floor Montana Room. Or maybe bask in a beautiful sunlit reception, banquet, and breakfast in the fourth floor NEO Room, featuring the St. Louis skyline.

Little Piney Lodge

Their refined, yet relaxed atmosphere will have all of your guests talking about your amazing day. You can choose an outdoor reception under their pavilion or an indoor party in their Fest Room.

Their message and goal line up with mine almost perfectly…the only difference…I capture your memories, while they give you a setting to have your memories captured. 🙂

This is another venue I have not shot at, and I don’t have anyone booked. I am just hoping to shoot here very soon the venue is amazing and it is in one of my favorite locations, Hermann, MO.

The Lemp Mansion

According to the Lemp Mansion’s website, Generations of brides have chosen Lemp Mansion for the perfect wedding or reception venue. And you can choose a venue from their Mansion, Gazebo & Patio, Grand Hall, or Lemp’s Loft. 

I have no booking here yet but this venue is on my bucket list to shoot at. From what I have seen every area they offer is absolutely stunning and would be amazing to photograph. You can find all their prices right on their web page so they are very transparent in what they have to offer and how much it is going to cost.
