This place is one of those buck list places for this St Louis wedding photographer and finally I got the opportunity to capture Maggie and Ryan on there amazing wedding day.
Getting ready started at the Ritz Carlton which is always a please to capture images. When we left we would arrive at the Jewel Box to capture Maggie and Ryan’s ceremony. This wedding was a bit different, the pushed off their wedding reception to a different date due to the lack of family and friend being able to attend, due to CoVID.
I must start off by saying this venue is gorgeous, and an indoor plants persons dream. The feeling of plant life being around gives you a sense of calmness and freshness, and the light, oh man the light, is jaw dropping. With there being floor to celling windows developed specifically for this venue, well for lack of a better way to explain, it is amazing. It is hard to believe The Jewel box was designed in the 1930s. It kinda makes you wonder if the venue was designed with weddings in mind.

Anyway back to the Wedding photos captured at the Jewel box.
Although more intimate in size Maggie and Ryan ceremony was full of feels. From the atmosphere at the Jewel Box to the live strings band playing as she walked down the aisle.
After the ceremony, things took off as normal. We had family formals to take care of and then the bridal party photos that where captured in front of the venue.
Once we had those two items checked off the list we where able to concentrate on images of just Maggie and Ryan. The first images they wanted where of the tulips which were in full bloom at the time of their wedding, which if you haven’t seen is amazing! There are so many and the colors are extremely vibrant. The next location we went was the colosseum statues (I am really not sure what the real name is) I caught some images on the way there of them walking through the garden like area where the trees where in bloom. Finishing up I had them sit on a bench and captured a cute image.
That would finish our time at the Jewel Box, the next location they wanted to go was the Fox Theater. During this time of the year they were playing Hamilton which if you haven’t seen in person it is a must! I mention that because we could not go in the Fox Theater but that is okay, because the images we capture outside are among some of my favorites!
I had the idea to that I wanted to capture the entire Fox Theater sign which can be difficult to do due to all the traffic of both cars and people, but we managed to land it and I think it turned out amazing!
To finish up the session we did some smoke bombs which I bought from Enola Gay an amazing product made with photographer and videographers in mind. My couple had an awesome time playing with the smoke bomb and we caught some awesome images. All in all it was an amazing day congrats to Maggie and Ryan.
